Growth disorder?.................................? Im 19, 110 lb, 5'7, 11 1/2 shoe size, and male. I have been 110 lb, and have gained one inch of height over the past 4 years. My face/body has stayed the same, and i really can't take it anymore. I look REALLY young, my face makes me look 14. All the males on both sides of my family are at the very least 6' and over average weightwise. I've been to my family doctor and he did a bloodtest and said everything was ok. I've ditched all my friends, and dropped out of college due to the mental stress. Could it be some sort of growth disorder?...
Does anyone know of any online resources for failure to thrive or growth disorder in infants? My son has been under the 3rd percentile for his weight since he was about 4 months old. He's now 15 months. I'm working with his pediatrician to try to find out the reason for this. He's on dietary supplements even (a soy "pediasure" due to diarreah/vomiting with milk products. He was breastfed as a young infant so we didn't know about the milk allergy until after he was one). He's been tested for cystic fibrosis and some other things with his thyroid. Those were negative but it did show that he had some sort of anemia. I'm looking for some scholastic resources that I can pass along to his doctor in the hopes that we can get him into a normal weight range. Thank you in advance for your help. He hasn't actually been diagnosed with failure to thrive yet, I'm just working with those terms for lack of a definite reason for this slow growth. Yes, he was tested at 12 months for lead and anemia (required in our state) and that's when we discovered the anemia. His lead levels were fine. Thank you. I didn't know that lead could cause growth delays. Interesting.
Can an anxiety disorder stunt your growth? I have suffered from bad anxiety most of my life. Im about 5ft 10 aged 20 and wonder if its affected my height. I read somewhere on the internet that it can due to low testosterone and human growth hormone.
Can sleep disorder impact growth height ? I have like a sleep disorder , everday i get like 5 hours of sleep . I wonder can this impact your height ? im 17 , male ,and still one inch shorter then my dad . And im skinny with barely any armpit hair .
Do I have a GROWTH DISORDER? - i haven't grown since age 10 or 11 -i'm 16 now and still 4'11 (female) - i got my period at 12 yrs. old, but even til' now its still very irregular (3-7 months gap) -i can still fit in the same shoe that i wore when i was 11 years old ... P.S*- i took a bloodtest at my docters to see why my periods were irregular, but the results came back saying that I'm "fine". ...BUT i have 90% of Hypothyroidism symptoms.. although it wasn't tested Mainly for hypothyroidism, just bloodtests to see wuts up with my irregular periods (but still if i have hypothyroidism, which i feel like i do, wouldn't it show in the bloodtests?) do i have a growth disorder?
So I'm 4'4 inches (I know, I'm a midget, I have a growth disorder).? I'm perfectly proportional though, and just look like a really short person. I don't have a huge forehead or tiny arms and legs or anything like most midgets do. My question is do you think that my height will be like a big deal with dating and getting jobs and stuff like that? I'm a 17 year old girl by the way

What might cause very tiny fingers? A Growth disorder? Hi, I have very tiny fingers but my both thumbs are of normal size. I'm 21 years old and it seems that my fingers have stopped to grow when I was 14 or 15 years. Could this be some kind of growth disorder, or it's my genes? Should I go to my doctor? Thanks
Maybe a growth disorder? I believe I have a growth disorder?... I am a 18 year old male, 115 pounds and 5'5. My mom is 5'5 and my dad is 6'1. According to the boys growth chart which can be found here: http://www.waytogrowonline.org/Common/Pa... I fall under the 5th percentile. I've always struggled with eating...I had iron deficiency as a child which controls your appetite. I haven't gained weight/grown for at least two years. When I compare my new drivers license to my old one the new one actually makes me look younger. I haven't grown out of any clothing. I can still wear the shirts/pants I wore in 8th grade if i wanted to. I starting to believe I have a problem with my growth. Should I go to the doctor and see if there is something wrong with me? Can anyone relate to this? It's awkward looking this young. Thanks for your time.
Can my eating disorder stunt my growth? I'm 14. I've been starving myself for about 3 years now. I work out a lot more than I normally should. And I've been wondering if that can lead to me not growing. I just can't get over it though. It's not as easy as it sounds. I think I'm fat. My mother says this is because I want to be a model. But I just don't want to be fat. I hate weighing over 100 pounds.
do i have some kind of growth disorder? so i'm 13 and i'm only a few inches smaller than everybody else my age that i know, but i look like a second grader, and also my voice does crack! so what's up with me do i have some kind of disease?
Growth Disorder in Infant - Growing Too Fast? My friend has a little girl that is 2, almost 3 months old. She obviously has a growth disorder of some kind but no one can figure out what. She is 20 pounds and 26 and a half inches long. She isn't fat and her mother isn't overfeeding her. She will eat 9 ounces or more without spitting up and is still hungry. The doctor told her to start rice cereal already, also. Her bones are as big as a child twice her age, at least, along with muscle mass. They have sent her growth charts to many different specialists and they can't figure it out. Does anyone know anything about what might be causing this? They don't think it's thyroid.... Maybe a pituitary gland problem? Anything you guys can think of, I would appreciate so I can tell my friend. The only reason why I am trying to find answers for her is because her doctor can't figure it out and told her that. She has no idea what's going on and asked me to help. I'm just trying to get information on things it could possibly be so she can ask her doctor about it. If the baby is two and a half months old and the size of a baby who is anywhere from 8-12 months old, I don't think it matters whether it is a boy or girl. Something is obviously wrong. And yes, they did do blood tests. It didn't show anything. I'm not trying to be rude but this is a big deal to my friend and I'm just trying to help. Please, quit acting like I'm playing the role of doctor here. I'm not. I am genuinely concerned for her baby because we don't know why she's growing so rapidly. And it isn't a growth spurt. It hasn't stopped since she was born. So, if it was, that is the longest growth spurt that I have heard of for an infant.

wondering if i have a growth disorder or something? so im 17 almost 18 and people mistake me for a 12 year old im not quite sure if ive went through puberty or not. this is kinda a problem because i have recently decided to go into the army but im self conscious i guess u could say. when i went to the recruiter they said i was 5'6 and 175 pounds. i have barley any hair on my legs and i have to shave my upper lip sid burns and chin every 2 or 3 weeks i have a decent amount of pubic hair and id say my penis is about 4 or 5 inches erect. i ejaculate but most of the time its clear. i was wondering if i have like a growth disorder or sumthin ppl have always thought i looked really young and when they find out im 17 they have a hard time believing me. its sucks because most of my freinds are shaving every day and look their age i basically stickout like a swore thumb.
Does my kitten have a growth disorder? My vet says he is healthy and not overweight, but is the largest 9-week kitten she's ever seen. He's taller and longer than my full-grown cat, who's a big cat. I have his sister, who is half his size (she's as big as his littermates, which are owned by other people). Her entire face fits in his mouth. Is there such a thing as a growth disorder for cats? My vet said he's okay, but I'm having doubts. Their mother is a smallish tabby and their dad is a registered Maine Coon. Would that do it, then? It was an accidental breeding and the mum's owner didn't feel comfortable with an abortion (neither would I!!).
Has my eating disorder stunted my growth? I restricted my calories, sometimes 0 per day for as long as possible in September. From around August to December, I didn't care how much calcium I was getting per day, but i'm estimating it was anywhere between 100-600mg per day. Im pretty tall already, around 5"8.2-4. I'm 13 years old. However, I started binging in October, so I was getting a lot of nutrients from these binges. Will I be able to grow again?

Question about a movie from the late 90's or early 2000's about a boy with growth disorder? I can't remember the name but it was about this like 17 year old kid that was fat and had a growth disorder. His parents neglected him and he was in love with this hot chick and he only had one friend. At the end of the movie a school bus filled with his class mates get into a bus accident and drive it into a lake and the kid with the disorder saves them from the bus and ends up dying in the hospital. Does anyone know the name to this movie? I couldn't find a name on google or yahoo.
Growth disorder undiagnosed? I am 21 and am 5 feet tall, I don't look like an adult, and only weigh 83 pounds. I can't seem to gain weight to make the Dr.s happy. I have been to an endocrinologist because of hot flashes and insomnia, and given Provera. It was determined I have no estrogen coming from my pituitary gland anymore, and I was an EARLY bloomer. I don't have Turner Syndrome, because I have a child. I stopped growing at age 12. Does anyone know of any disorder that may be possible, because I researched and couldn't find anything that fit. PLEASE HELP !!

Can Obessive Compulsive Disorder affect height growth? I am 17 and im only 5'6 despite my mum being my height and my dad being 6'3 - 6'4. I've had quite serious OCD for since the begining of puberty and I'm really begining to question myself if it has affected my growth. Although it nowhere says "OCD will stunt your growth" it does say that general health and chronic illnesses can affect peoples growth, so could my OCD be taken into account on that basis?? I mean OCD does mess up your brain, thats why I'm thinking it could have affected the release of growth hormone or God knows what. Apart from height though, I'm other developed sexually and physically (broad shoulders and muscles). Could anyone plzzz help me with this???
Does anyone know anything about Human Growth Hormone? Does anyone know how to get injections of HGH? Do you have to have a growth disorder? Can you get it to help you heal from althletic injuries like tendinitis? How do you get it? I know movie stars somehow get their hands on it.... I live in the SF Bay area by the way.

I think I have a growth disorder? Alrite, i've always been smaller than my peers. I always get the kids menu at resturants etc... It really hit me that there might be a problem when I went to renew my drivers license. I got my restricted license when I was 16, and I am now 18. I look YOUNGER in the newer photo. I've been 5ft 5in for three years now. I just turned 18 a couple of weeks ago. I did some research online and I think it may be a problem with the pituitary gland. I have a poor appeitite and am very small for my age. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing/has any advice for me. Should I go to the doctor? Is it too late? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Eating disorder. Stunt growth? Catch up growth upon recovery? I am an 18 year old male. When i was 16 i had a slight eating disorder that i was eventually hospitalized for 1 night for at 5' 6 125 lb. After my release i got into weightlifting and football and started eating alot. I worked my way up to 5' 7 165 lb a year later. Is there a chance that i significantly stunted my growth from this incident? I had read elsewhere that upon recovery catch up growth usually occurs to make up for any potential loss of growth. Is there truth to this? I now maintain a very healthy diet and am active in sports and weightlifting. Can i still grow taller? The eating disorder only lasted for about 4 months.
Can anxiety disorders stunt your growth? I'm 16 and have generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder...I've heard that stress can stunt your growth. What do you think?
At 6'9 and a half, did I suffer from a growth disorder? I hate my body!? I'm a 20 year old guy who is too tall. I finally stopped growing, but not before I 6'9 and a half inches tall! I hate this! Finding clothes, shoes, cars, girlfriends, and happiness is impossible. Sometimes I feel like dying! My parents are MUCH shorter than I am. My mom is 5'3" and my father is 5'6"! How did this happen to me? What kind of disease did I inherit from my parents genes? I want to read up on my awful condition. NO I DO NOT PLAY BASKETBALL! I HATE SPORTS! I hate going out in public because I'm so much taller than everyone else. I have no friends either. I just stay ar home whenever I can.
Pomeranian with dark skin and abnormal hair growth. Skin disorder? Puppy uglies? When peanut was a young puppy he had a thick plush coat like normal pomeranians do. As he got a bit older he started losing his hair (puppy uglies). He is now about 8 months old and his hair is growing back nicely everywhere except his back. His skin is darkened (I wouldn't call it black, more like a grayish color) only on his back and his hair is not growing as well as on other areas of his body. He is not bald on his back, but the hair is thin and you can see the skin underneath. The skin has no odor and is not oily, it is actually sort of dry and thick, but it is not scabbed or flaky. He is a chocolate/blue colored pom. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Could this be a skin disorder or just a bad case of the uglies? I know some poms have the uglies worse than others. After doing some research online it seems very possible that it would be flea allergy dermatitis. He is given monthly flea treatments and a flea bath once/week because the treatments do not work 100%. Maybe I should find a better brand of flea treatment/prevention. I have other dogs and none have the problems he does so I am sure it is nothing that is contagious. I am going to take him to the vet though just to be sure, but I wanted some opinions about what it may be so I would know what to expect. His hair is growing back on his back, just not as quickly or full as the other areas, so I doubt it is anything that causes hair loss as he is not losing it. It was getting worse while he was just on the flea prevention, but it seems to be getting better to a degree since I have started the weekly flea baths. It is just not improving enough for me to be satisfied.
